Under the Microscope: Acme Battery Tray

Another cleverly conceived Acme custom-fab component for the garage-based or pro-shop bike builder. The Acme battery tray employs two sections of CNC-machined aircraft-grade alloy to hold your bike’s electrical storage unit in a safe, upright position behind the transmission.

The CNC'ed alloy top bar and lower battery plate are designed to accept any number of gel or liquid batteries, and Big Boar offers a gel battery that fits perfectly

A 12” long x 3” wide section of 3/8-inch thick cold-rolled steel is drilled and tapped to accept three 3/8” recessed Allen cap screws. These screws pass through the lower alloy battery plate and to hold the entire assembly securely on the bike.

Two finishes available: black anodized or polished raw alloy

To install, simply trim the steel plate to fit between the rear stays of your motorcycle frame, check for clearance around the drivetrain, and weld in place.

Materials:
• 6061 T-6 CNC’ed aluminum base plate and top bracket
• Cold-rolled sheet steel weld-on mounting plate
• Chrome-plated Allen cap hardware

Finishes:
• Polished raw alloy
• Black anodized
